Ballet Studio Program - Ballet Classes for all Ages and Levels

Ballet is the oldest formal and structured form of dance that is given the reverence of being the foundation of ALL the Dance Arts.  Dancers build proper technical skills, core strength and aplomb, correct posture and usage of arms, head, and shoulders (épaulement).  It is highly recommended all students who wish to learn any of the Dance Arts properly, must first and foremost understand the basics in technique that can only be learned in ballet.

Students who do not study ballet have a more difficult time in Ballet Class Downers Grove, Naperville, Woodridge, Lombard, Glen Ellyn, Wheaton learn body alignment techniquesprogress of technique for body alignment, pirouettes, jumps, co-ordination skills, and core strength.  The recommended ballet classes per week at each level are listed but not required unless you are a serious student studying for a career in the Professional Ballet World.  Then requirements per level are mandatory. The Academy highly encourages students and parents to adhere to the requirements, if possible, so that proper advancement through the rigorous Academy Ballet syllabus can be accomplished for technical achievement and success for each dancer.

The Academy is a ballet studio that is proud of it's success in producing dancers who are making careers as professional dancers (Ballet, Contemporary, & Modern Companies) in Major World-Class Dance Companies in the U.S. and in Europe.

In 2013, The Academy of Dance Arts was again recognized as a premium ballet studio for it's excellence in Ballet Training and received "The Outstanding School Award" from the prestigious Youth America Grand Prix.  Artistic Director, Sherry Moray, has also received "Most Outstanding Teacher Award" in 2000, 2009, and 2012 and The Dance Magazine Award for "Outstanding Teacher of the Year."
